Description: "Phenomenon of Fireworks" delves into the symbolism of fire within Yi culture, with a particular emphasis on the Torch Festival, a significant cultural emblem. This artwork harnesses the power of digital imagery and installations to recreate the form and dynamics of flames, thus digitalizing the Yi people's veneration for fire and their traditional Torch Festival rituals. This piece prompts a speculative exploration of the future, examining the unique cultural markers of minority communities that stand apart from modern artificial creations. It challenges viewers to ponder: Can traditional folklore be seen as a prototype of art? Moreover, it raises important questions about how these precious cultural heritages can be preserved and passed down in the digital age.
