Preface

In this season full of hope and vitality, we are delighted to welcome the "Splendor of Brush and Ink, Vision of Red" — the 5th Liaoning Provincial Children's Painting Exhibition. This exhibition is not only a grand event in the field of children's painting in Liaoning but also an important stage for children to showcase their artistic talents and express their inner world.

Children's painting is a collision between pure hearts and vibrant colors, a fusion of boundless imagination and wonderful creativity. With brushes in hand, children replace words to depict the world as they see it and pour out their innermost emotions. The lines in their works may be naive, the colors bold, and the compositions unique, yet all are filled with love for life and longing for the future.。

For this exhibition, we have received numerous submissions from schools, children's palaces, off-campus art training institutions, and individual contributors across Liaoning Province. These works cover a wide range of themes and forms, including traditional Chinese painting, oil painting, watercolor, oil pastel, crayon, colored pencil, and woodblock printing. They reflect children's exploration of red history, depictions of their hometown's new look, eulogies of a better life, and visions of the future world. Each piece embodies the wisdom and effort of the children, shining with their unique artistic brilliance.

The purpose of this exhibition is to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches on literary and artistic work, inherit and promote the excellent traditional Chinese culture, showcase the achievements of children's painting education in our province, promote the popularization and practice of children's painting, expand the social foundation for the sustainable development of painting art, and give better play to Liaoning's advantages in art education. Meanwhile, we hope this event will provide a platform for children to display themselves, exchange ideas, and learn from each other, inspiring their interest and love for painting, nurturing their creativity and imagination, and allowing the seeds of art to take root and thrive in their hearts.

We thank the teachers who have worked tirelessly to guide the children; your careful instruction and patient companionship have safeguarded their artistic journey.
