Lin Boxi (Bai Yu)Born in Taiwan in 1960, Lin Boxi (Bai Yu) was awarded the title of 终身荣誉教授 (Lifetime Honorary Professor) by the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Belgium. He has long traveled across Europe, creating and holding solo exhibitions in residency at cities like Liège (Belgium), Paris, Valencia, Milan, and London, while engaging in academic exchanges with local art academies. Beyond being an art columnist for Hong Kong’s Hong Kong Economic Journal, Bai Yu is a Michelin gourmet connoisseur who has befriended top chefs worldwide and tasted nearly 1,000 Michelin-starred dishes to date. Dedicated to practicing lifestyle aesthetics, his love for culinary art inspired him to curate multiple Bai Yu Banquets (White Fish Feasts). In 2012, a Spanish winery and a renowned Australian vineyard in 2010 even used his paintings as wine labels—with the Australian wine designated for Qantas First Class. Bai Yu integrates European fashion aesthetics, lifestyle tastes, and cultural experiences into his artistic practice, blurring the boundaries between art and everyday life.
